Choosing a strategy of data archiving: disk archive from tape archive


Archiving data is an essential process for many environments storage data for several reasons. Firstly, the archive data, either long-term or short-term, allows a company back through archived files to retrieve a specific piece of data for clients or their own. Secondly, data archives often remain for a number of years to government regulations. In this spirit, companies typically three data, they can choose from archiving strategies: archive disk, tape archive or both. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method? Which is best for your business? Alternatively, it is better to use a mixture of disk and tape for your data archives?
